Viña Maipú Winery, with over 100 years of history in Argentine winemaking, was the chosen winery to bring the project to life. Founded in 1862, it is one of the oldest operating wineries in Mendoza.
And so, Casir dos Santos was born. A winery where the nobility of its century-old history coexists with the imprint of a team that contributes professionalism, creativity, and passion.
The winery was modernized and today stands as a true example of science and technology at the service of the noblest of beverages, helping it preserve the purest essence with the explosion or character that humans can impart to it.
Casir dos Santos was conceived as a declaration of principles, a personal commitment. The pact was: "We will make the best possible wine, caring for every step, leaving no variable to chance. Let our way of seeing, understanding, and doing things be the guide and inspiration. From each region, the finest grapes; at each stage, the best available technology; and all processes managed by skilled, motivated, and dedicated individuals."

Julia Halupczok
Julia was born and raised in the province of Mendoza, the land of sun and fine wine. She had a childhood surrounded by vineyards and in close contact with nature, which were key factors in her decision to study Agricultural Engineering at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the National University of Cuyo, where she graduated in 2006. While studying, Julia worked as a laboratory assistant during harvests, and in the years 2004, 2005, and 2006 at Alta Vista Winery.
In August 2006, she worked as an operator and laboratory assistant at Ferrari Carano Winery in Healdsburg, California.
Between 2007 and 2008, she served as the assistant winemaker at Vitivinícola MayceGroup, and from 2008 until 2012, she worked as a winemaker at O.Fournier Winery.
In 2012, she took on the role of winemaker at Alta Vista Winery until 2016 when she assumed the position of Production Manager at Finca Sophenia.
At the end of 2021, Julia decided to take on a significant challenge and joined CasirDos Santos Winery as General Manager and Head Winemaker.

Flor Bauckhage
Florencia Bauckhage, a native of Mendoza, is 37 years old and spent a considerable amount of time studying law. While pursuing her studies, she was working in the wine industry, which gradually captured her interest and led her to make a career change to study oenology. During her educational journey, she had the opportunity to travel to different countries to enhance her experience and become acquainted with diverse cultures and work approaches. Throughout those years, she participated in harvests in destinations such as New Zealand, France, Chile, and the United States. She also worked in renowned wineries in Mendoza until she received a call from Julia Halupczok to join the Casir dos Santos Winery project. Currently, Florencia is fully immersed in this new professional challenge, ready to contribute her knowledge and passion to the team.
Currently, it is the most important area in terms of wine style and quality. Located in the Pre-Andes region, the Uco Valley (Valle de Uco) has a unique microclimate with significant temperature fluctuations, cooler average temperatures, and complex soils that contribute to wines with intensity, personality, and finesse.
Our Gualtallary estate, planted with Cabernet Sauvignon 20 years ago, features a sandy-loamy-stony soil. The irrigation system utilizes water from the Andes mountain range’s thawing. The result is small berries and low yield per hectare, resulting in wines of great concentration and minerality.
This vineyard offers high-quality fruit. Its soil includes a rocky intermediate strip that enhances drainage, translating to a good density of flavors.
Agrelo is a prominent subregion of Luján de Cuyo, the most significant historical department in the production of wine in Mendoza. This 10-year-old vineyard is situated at an elevation of 950 meters above sea level, with alluvial sandy soils and a substantial amount of stones, in one of Argentina’s most prestigious terroirs.
Located in Maipú, this 15-hectare vineyard property of Malbec, situated on the banks of the Mendoza River, features deposits of fluvial sediments, good drainage, and a significant river influence that contributes to temperature variations between day and night. The vines, over 80 years old, yield low quantities and offer excellent grape quality.
